Park Kit Theming Design

Park Kit was created to provide holiday parks with custom-built, professional websites. Whilst working on the deployment of Park Kit, I was asked to create several themes for the website package of the service, the themes would be similar in layout and functionality but had to be unique to the particular style of a holiday park. Whether that be aimed at younger family's, family's with young children or adult's wanting a getaway.

The particular challenge for this work was how to make the themes seem unique to the park without diverting away from the original wireframe that the other themes had to be based on.
Theme 1: Young Families

This theme is targeted at young families planning a short getaway. When looking at how other holiday parks target this particular audience, I noticed that the vast majority of sites used similar design language, with a clean and minimalistic layout that also included rich and vibrant colours, therefore contradicting the usual holiday park tones. When incorporating all these factors together, an overall feeling of making memories and enjoying family time is portrayed through the web design.
Theme 2: Children Friendly

This theme targets more of a children-friendly orientated holiday park by using less traditional visuals and incorporating a more laid back and loose approach. The softer colour pallet brings a gentle and calming effect, while the drawn on assets adds a childlike feel to the theme. In addition, the use of angled elements and blocks creates a theme that is not only informative but enjoyable
Theme 3: Luxury Breaks

This theme targets the higher end of holiday park getaways, using an elegant and mature colour-way it promotes a sense of luxury and enjoyment. Sans serif fonts and hand-drawn elements together make the theme an adult-friendly option.
